Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the ecommerce web development project initiated by the client through YHDEV’s onboarding and checkout process.

Part 1: General Website Terms of Use

The following terms apply to all visitors and users of the YHDEV website. By accessing or using this site, you agree to these terms.

1. Website Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, code, and software, is the property of YHDEV or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws. The compilation of all content on this site is the exclusive property of YHDEV.

You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the service, use of the service, or access to the service without express written permission by us.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the website for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the site. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the site through hacking, password mining, or any other means.

3. General Disclaimer

The information provided on this website is for general informational purposes only. While we strive to keep the information up to date and correct, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability with respect to the website or the information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the website for any purpose.

Part 2: Client Service Agreement

The following terms govern the commercial relationship between YHDEV and clients purchasing web development packages or services.

4. Agreement to Service Terms

These Client Service Terms (“Terms”) govern all projects, purchases, and interactions between YHDEV (“we,” “our,” or “us”) and any client (“you” or “your”) engaging our ecommerce web development services. By ordering or using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

Our services are self-serve, meaning that you provide key details and materials through our onboarding form before work begins. Please review all sections carefully before submitting your order.

5. Services and Packages

YHDEV offers tiered web development packages with fixed deliverables and optional add-ons. Each higher-tier package includes all lower-tier features plus additional enhancements. Any item labeled “Add-on (Quoted)” is a paid customization outside standard scope, while “Free (on request)” features are only included if requested before project kickoff. Custom features not listed in the packages can be scoped separately and quoted accordingly.

Each package includes a free post launch support allowance:

  • Budget: 4 support hours across 7 days window.
  • Standard: 18 support hours across 3 months window.
  • Custom: 30 support hours across 5 months window.

Free post-launch support terminates upon the earlier of: (a) the expiration of the specified time window, or (b) the full exhaustion of the allocated support hours. If your hours are used up before the window expires, you may immediately opt into a paid ongoing support plan or pay-as-used based on our standard rates.


After the free post launch support period ends you may opt into ongoing support for a recurring fee or pay as used.

6. Pricing and Payments

All package prices are fixed and published publicly. We do not adjust scope or pricing based on individual budgets.

Payment terms

  • Budget Package: full one time payment due before work begins, pay at checkout using available payment options.
  • Standard and Custom Packages: payments split into two stages:
    • 50% initial deposit due before work begins, pay at checkout using available payment options.
    • 50% final payment due immediately prior to final file handover after you approve the staging site. The final payment will be invoiced manually by YHDEV and paid using whichever payment gateway or transfer method we specify in the invoice. This may include Stripe, PayPal, local e-wallet or bank transfer, or Wise depending on your location.

Hosting add-on (if selected)

If you have selected hosting during checkout, the hosting cost is included in your initial payment (for Budget) or in your 50 percent deposit (for Standard and Custom). Hosting is billed annually under a 12-month term as follows:

  • Budget: $15 per month (10GB storage, 15k monthly visits, one free domain), billed annually.
  • Standard: $15 per month (10GB storage, 15k visits, one free domain) or $23 per month (50GB storage, 200k visits, one free domain), both billed annually.
  • Custom: $15 per month (10GB storage, 15k visits, one free domain) or $23 per month (50GB storage, 200k visits, one free domain), both billed annually.

The included domain name is valid for one year. Domain renewal pricing depends on the chosen name, extension (.com, .net, etc.) and hosting provider and will be billed separately in an invoice issued near the renewal date. If you prefer to use your own hosting, YHDEV can set it up for you at no additional cost once access credentials are provided. Support coverage does not extend to downtime or service interruptions caused by third-party hosting providers.

Settlement and handover

Final deliverables and credentials will be handed over only after the final payment has fully settled and cleared in our account. Please note that processing and hold times may apply, especially for bank transfers or international payment methods. Any late or incomplete payments may delay the project or result in temporary suspension of work until the balance is cleared.

Optional post launch support

Ongoing support is optional and available at $99 per month or on a pay-as-needed basis at $36 per hour. Support plans must be agreed and paid in advance of the support period.

7. Project Scope and Timeline

Each project’s timeline depends on the selected package, the complexity of the requirements, and how quickly you provide complete and approved materials. Estimated durations for typical projects are as follows:

Budget: 1 to 4 days | Standard: 1 to 3 weeks | Custom: 2 to 6 weeks

Whether your project is handled through a self-serve process or through a discovery call, it is always your responsibility to define and outline every requirement in clear detail. The only difference is that in a self-serve service like YHDEV, you are placed in a more deliberate position to decide, choose, and refine your requirements consciously, leaving less room for vague expectations or assumptions. This ensures there is no ambiguity for the developer to interpret or guess. All requested features, functions, layouts, and user experiences must be described precisely by you before the project begins.

Throughout development, our team will actively ask questions to confirm details, configurations, or business rules. You must respond promptly to maintain the timeline. If replies are delayed, the timeline automatically pauses until your input is received. Failure to respond within ten business days may result in the project being paused indefinitely or closed without refund for the time already spent.

Free features and add-ons must be confirmed before kickoff. Any new requests or adjustments after kickoff are treated as scope changes and billed separately. You will receive progress updates through your preferred communication method and a staging link to review your site and provide feedback as development progresses.

8. Deliverables and Ownership

Upon final payment, you will receive a complete backup of your website in .wpress format that includes all files, database, and media. This file gives you full ownership of the delivered site, allowing you to host, move, or restore it elsewhere. A Google Drive download link for the .wpress file will be created and shared via your preferred communication channel. The Google Drive link will remain valid for seven days from the handover notification. You will also receive login credentials to WordPress backend access for managing your store independently.

Some software components used in your site operate under our developer licenses and remain valid only while your site is covered by an active support plan. Once support ends, those license rights and related update access also end. You may continue using the installed versions without interruption, but further updates support will require you to purchase your own licenses.

Other parts of your site may include open-source software that you are free to modify or redistribute within the terms of their original licenses. You may modify any of your site files; however, we cannot guarantee functionality, compatibility, or stability after such changes. Any issues arising from client or third-party modifications, discontinued licenses, or external updates fall outside our support responsibility.

9. Client Responsibilities

You must provide complete, accurate materials and respond promptly to project updates. This includes all required product data, images, content, and access credentials in the requested formats. Delays or missing inputs will pause the project timeline and may affect delivery.

You are responsible for reviewing the staging site before launch and confirming that all content, design, and functionality are correct. Written confirmation, domain connection instructions, or any communication implying readiness to launch counts as acceptance. If no rejection is issued before launch, publishing the site will be treated as your final approval.

After launch, the project is considered complete, and any further edits or corrections will be treated as new work or support requests. You must keep your access credentials secure and renew any hosting or service plans on time to avoid interruptions.

10. Hosting and Domain

You may use your own hosting provider or request hosting through YHDEV as an add-on service. Hosting plans are billed annually and managed under our account while your service period remains active. Hosting accounts are not transferable.
YHDEV is not responsible for service interruptions, downtime, or outages caused by third-party hosting providers.

11. Revisions

Revision limits depend on your package:

  • Budget: 1 round
  • Standard: 3 rounds
  • Custom: up to 10 rounds

One round of revision means you can review the current preview of your site and submit a single list of changes together. These may include adjustments to layout, colors, content or schedule or product pricing. Once the requested changes are completed and confirmed, that round is considered used. Any additional or out-of-scope revisions will be quoted separately.

12. Support and Maintenance

Each YHDEV package includes a free post-launch support period, lasting between 7 days and 5 months depending on your selected plan. This free period begins immediately after your website goes live and covers essential technical assistance, including bug fixes, monitoring, performance adjustments, and scheduled backups. It also includes software updates under YHDEV’s developer licenses during the coverage period.

After the free post-launch support ends, you may continue under an optional ongoing support plan billed monthly or hourly. This ongoing plan provides continued access to software updates, maintenance monitoring, backups, bug fixes, and technical help for minor changes or improvements. It also keeps your site’s developer licenses active so that all software updates continue without interruption.

If you choose not to continue with an ongoing plan, your website will remain live and fully functional. However, all software updates covered under our developer licenses will stop once support ends. Without ongoing updates, long-term security, compatibility with future WordPress versions, and overall site stability cannot be guaranteed.
You may independently maintain and update your site by purchasing your own software licenses if desired. Any issues resulting from client-managed or third-party updates fall outside YHDEV’s responsibility.

Global Response Time SLA

P1 (Priority 1) — Critical
Site is down or core business functionality is broken (for example, site unreachable).
Standard / Budget: Response within 4 business hours. Resolution target within 24 hours.
Custom (Priority): Response within 90 minutes during Custom operation hours. Resolution target within 24 hours.
P2 (Priority 2) — High
Major functionality degraded but the site is still usable (for example, important integrations failing, admin tasks blocked).
Standard / Budget: Response within 1 business day. Resolution target within 2 business days.
Custom (Priority): Response within 3 business hours during Custom operation hours. Resolution target within 24 hours.
P3 (Priority 3) — Normal
Minor bugs, cosmetic issues, small UI quirks, or enhancement requests.
Standard / Budget: Response within 2 business days. Resolution target within 3 business days.
Custom (Priority): Response within 5 business hours during Custom operation hours. Resolution target within 2 business days.

Business Hours and Operation Windows

Standard / Budget: Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 (local time). SLA times are measured in business hours and do not include weekends.
Custom (Priority): Monday to Sunday, 09:00–24:00 (midnight, local time). SLA times apply during these operation hours.

Definitions and Exclusions

Response: Acknowledgement of the issue, initial triage, and an estimated time for resolution.
Resolution: Delivery of a final fix or a temporary agreed workaround.
SLAs exclude third-party outages, unavailable client credentials, scheduled maintenance, and force majeure.
Out of Scope: New features, third-party integrations, or redesigns outside the allowed revision limits are quoted separately.

13. Refunds and Cancellations Request

Before work begins:

  • Full refund if cancelled within 12 hours of purchase.
  • After 12 hours but before work starts, refund minus a 10% administration fee and minus hosting/domain fee if any.

After work has started:

  • Budget package: No refund.
  • Standard and Custom package: Refunds are 50% of the paid deposit as cancellation fee, minus hosting/domain fee if any.

After work has completed but not accepted:

  • Budget package: No refund.
  • Standard and Custom package: 50% of the initial deposit is non-refundable.

Client delays or incomplete inputs:

No refunds are issued for stalled projects caused by missing content or unresponsiveness.

Ongoing services:

Hosting and subscription renewals must be cancelled before the next billing date to avoid renewal charges. Past subscription or hosting payments are non-refundable once the period has begun.

14. Project Refusal and Termination by YHDEV

Because YHDEV is a self-serve platform, project suitability is reviewed only after your onboarding form and payment are received. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any project content or request that we deem unlawful, inappropriate, unsafe or otherwise unsuitable for our services. By engaging our services the client agrees that our decision to refuse or cancel work is final and cannot be challenged through complaint claim or legal action. The client waives and releases us from any liability claim loss or damage that may arise from such refusal or cancellation. We may exercise this right at any time and at our sole discretion without providing any explanation. We will always handle such cases fairly and process refunds according to the refund policy stated below:

  • Within 48 hours of payment: full refund (for all package type)
  • After work begins: refund equals amount paid less the value of work completed less non refundable hosting/domain fees. The value of work completed will be calculated by multiplying hours worked by the hourly rate as $36 per hour. (for all package type)

15. Liability and Warranty

All content, design, and functionality must be verified by you during the staging phase. YHDEV is not responsible for errors, omissions, or outdated content not reported before launch.
After launch, we may assist with corrections in good faith, but we do not accept liability for loss of revenue, reputation, or traffic resulting from such issues.
We make no guarantee of uninterrupted service, permanent compatibility, or error-free performance due to third-party software dependencies.

16. Confidentiality and NDAs

If you request an NDA, you must upload it during onboarding. A signed copy will be returned within 48 hours to your provided email. All projects are treated as confidential, and we will not share your materials publicly without permission.

17. Project Intellectual Property

You own all content, images, data, and materials you provide to YHDEV, along with the completed website files delivered after full payment. Some software on the site are provided under YHDEV’s developer licenses, which remain valid only while your site is covered by the post launch support and the ongoing support plan. Once that plan ends, license coverage and updates stop, but your website will continue to function normally. However, without updates, long term security, compatibility with newer WordPress versions and overall stability cannot be guaranteed. If you wish to continue receiving updates without our support, you will need to purchase and maintain licenses for the software. Any issues resulting from updates managed by the client or by third parties are outside our responsibility. Open-source components supplied under the GNU GPL or similar licenses remain freely modifiable and reusable, though YHDEV cannot guarantee their compatibility or stability once altered. You may modify your site at any time, but YHDEV is not responsible for errors, conflicts, or security issues resulting from changes made after handover or without active support.

18. Communication

All communication for your project will take place through the channel you selected during the onboarding process. You should expect active feedback, questions, and requests for confirmation from YHDEV after your order is submitted, so please make an effort to respond as promptly as possible to keep the project on schedule. Failure to respond within ten business days may pause or close the project.

Clients are expected to observe YHDEV’s operating hours when communicating or expecting replies. Standard and Budget package hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 (local time). Custom package operating hours are Monday to Sunday, 09:00 to 24:00 (midnight, local time). Messages sent outside these hours will be handled on the next business day.

19. Legal and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute or claim will be handled under Malaysian jurisdiction. By using our services, you agree to submit to this jurisdiction exclusively.

20. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing or using any YHDEV service, submitting the onboarding form, or approving any work, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Service in full.

Client Acknowledgment and Acceptance

By checking “I agree” or signing electronically during the onboarding or checkout process, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Service in full. This acceptance forms the binding project agreement between the client and YHDEV for the selected package and any confirmed add-ons.

The client acknowledges that work will not begin until the required payment or deposit is received and cleared. The remaining balance, if applicable, must be paid in full before handover of the final deliverables. YHDEV will retain a record of the client’s acceptance, including name, email, timestamp, and accepted version of these Terms, as evidence of agreement.
